Marlene Froug Campbell, age 75, of Peachtree Corners, GA, passed away on March 21, 2026, after a battle with Alzheimer's disease.


Marlene was born in Atlanta, GA on June 19, 1950, the daughter of Melvin Arnold Froug and Doris Jean Shaw Harper.


Marlene spent her elementary years in Augusta then moved to Atlanta and attended Briarcliff High School and worked at the state capitol. She went to the University of Tennessee for college, where she studied Secretarial Administration and met Jim, her husband of 55 years. They choose to raise a family in Peachtree Corners, living in the same home for over 40 years.


Marlene had a successful career as an Executive Administrative Assistant, retiring at age 64. She had a remarkable talent and drive for organization and problem solving - helping others fulfill their ambitions was her passion. She was a great homemaker and enjoyed sewing, reading, writing and puzzles. She was a loving mother and wife, always prioritizing her family’s wellbeing and working to make their lives better. She loved to vacation in Florida and took many trips to Disney World and the beach.


She is survived by her husband James “Jim” Stuart Campbell II of Peachtree Corners, adult children James “Jimmy” Stuart Campbell III of Cumming, and Jennifer Campbell (David Back) of Stone Mountain. Two sisters and three brothers: Debra (Hein) Onkenhout of Delray Beach FL, Sandra (Paul) Head of Lawrenceville GA, Kenny (Marilee) Froug of Dacula GA, Billy Harper of Blythe GA, and Mike (Linda) Harper of Sturgis SD. A sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Judy Walser of Rockville MD, and Dave Campbell of Bondville VT. Plus many cousins, nieces, and nephews.


This website is in lieu of a memorial service. View photos and share memories here. Memorial donations in Marlene’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
